Monk reflects on rituals and spirituality by re-imagining the existence of early Christian monks in a 6th century monastic settlement off the West coast of Ireland. For this major new film work by visual artist Bettina Seitz, site-responsive sculpture installations were temporarily installed and filmed on Inishmurray Island in County Sligo. Concept and direction by Bettina Seitz with cinematography and editing by Peter Martin, assistant cinematography by Fionn Rogers, score & sound design by Joe Hunt, and original sculptures in cotton fabric, bees wax, and cinnamon by Bettina Seitz.
